Privacy-focused by design
WalletPro does not request network or communications permissions and does not send card names, QR payloads, or card colors to the developer. The watch app requests only ComplicationPublisher to publish a non-sensitive watch-face complication value. The published complication does not contain QR payloads, card names, card colors, or raw settings values. Data is entered through Garmin Connect IQ app settings and stored in Garmin-managed app settings/device storage for local use on the watch. Clear a QR Code field to remove a card, clear app settings, or uninstall WalletPro to remove app-managed data.
Why it is useful
When you are shopping, checking in at a gym, entering a pool, scanning a membership card, showing an event ticket, presenting a boarding pass QR, or sharing a contact QR, WalletPro keeps the code on the Garmin watch instead of buried in a phone app, photo gallery, email, or plastic card wallet. Important notes
WalletPro displays QR codes. It is not a payment wallet, bank card wallet, NFC app, Apple Wallet import tool, Google Wallet import tool, Garmin Pay replacement, or scanner app. WalletPro is intended for QR codes, not 1D barcodes. Scanner acceptance depends on the third-party scanner, lighting, watch display, QR payload, and the rules of the store, gym, venue, airline, event, loyalty program, or access control system.
